About Us‎ > ‎

Statistically Greeks graduate with 20% higher grades than those who do not choose to participate in the Greek experience. Majority of our senators and Fortune 500 executives hold fraternal membership. Phi Kappa Theta enforces strong academia and therefore has seen many brothers graduate with successful careers.

Phi Kappa Theta is a closely-knit family bound together through brotherhood. Brotherhood is built between members by working together and living together. Brotherhood events usually occur on a weekly basis. They are a time for all the brothers to enjoy an activity together. Phi Kappa Theta's chapter at USD holds various planned trips throughout the year. Trips provide a great way to bond.

Phi Kappa Theta provides many opportunities for growth and development in leadership. These opportunities start from the associate membership process, continue on throughout undergraduate education, and are upheld as an alumni. These skills will carry on after graduation, and have helped alumni accelerate in their careers to lead projects and team members.

Phi Kappa Theta recognizes the inherent dignity and worth of each individual human being. Phi Kappa Theta supports the Children'sMiracle Network as our National Philanthropy. CMN is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for children's hospitals. Our chapter holds several fundraiser events throughout the year, including our annual Phi Kap Fish Fry event.

Social networking is an important aspect of the college experience. Phi Kappa Theta incorporates socialization into the brotherhood experience through mixers, community outreaches and many other events. Mixers/exchanges are one on one functions between a fraternity and sorority. Throughout the years, mixers have included broom hockey, game nights, ice cream socials, BBQ cookouts, volleyball, and much more.
